If you have been wondering when does the new venom come out, you may want to start looking for a date to watch the new film. It has been confirmed that Andy Serkis will be directing the new movie, but it remains unclear whether the symbiote will be returning. Naomie Harris and Michelle Williams are also rumored to be in the cast.
Sony’s Spider-Man/Venom movie rumored to come out
Venom and Spider-Man are two characters that have a long history of feuding on screen. However, the two were not seen fighting on the big screen in any Marvel movie since the Raimi trilogy in the late 2000s.
Now, Sony and Marvel are going to bring these two characters together for the first time in a big way. They’re planning on releasing a Spider-Man/Venom movie that will be a part of their Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The film, which will be produced by Sony Pictures, will feature a cast of characters from the Marvel comics. Some of the people who will be featured are Marvel favorites like Spider-Man and Kraven the Hunter. Another notable character will be the aforementioned Venom.
It’s unclear who the Venom will be, but it’s likely that Flash Thompson, who was once Venom in Marvel Comics, will be playing the part. Interestingly, Flash Thompson is also a fan of Spider-Man.
There are a number of other movies coming from Sony’s Spider-Man Universe. These include Venom: Let There Be Carnage, Spider-Man: Homecoming, and a Spider-Women movie.
Those are just some of the projects slated for release in the next few years. A standalone Sinister Six movie is still rumored to be on the horizon. This may or may not feature Jared Leto, Willem Dafoe, Michael Keaton, and Alfred Molina.
Venom 3 is scheduled for December 2021. That’s not a lot of time for the film to come out. But if it does, it will be the seventh entry in the Marvel Comics-based Spider-Man Universe.
Andy Serkis will direct
Andy Serkis is set to direct the new Venom. Serkis will replace Ruben Fleischer, who directed the original film. Serkis has some experience in the motion capture department, having worked on “The Hobbit” and the “Planet of the Apes” franchises. He has also voiced several roles in other movies.
The new Venom will be a follow up to the hit supervillain caper of 2018. The original film starred Tom Hardy as Eddie Brock, who bonds with an alien symbiote. It was a surprisingly successful supervillain movie that grossed $856 million worldwide.
Andy Serkis has a track record for directing high-quality motion-capture performances. He made his mark as Gollum in the Lord of the Rings trilogy, and then became a star of the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Ulysses Klaue in Black Panther. His most recent project was the motion-captured adaptation of George Orwell’s “The Animal Farm.”
The Venom 2 script has been penned by Kelly Marcel. She wrote the screenplay for Venom 3 as well, so it should be a good fit for Serkis. In addition to her screenwriting expertise, she is also known for being a hip-hop performer.
Andy Serkis has been busy working on his next directorial venture. Aside from the Venom franchise, he will also be directing a film based on Andor the Widowmaker. That movie is currently filming in Los Angeles with Dakota Johnson.
Michelle Williams and James Bond franchise actress Naomie Harris will co-star
The Venom sequel is expected to feature Naomie Harris in a pivotal role as a character called Shriek. Her role could be a re-introduction to a Marvel Comics character that was once thought to be one of the worst villains in the Marvel Universe.
Harris recently appeared in Moonlight, which received an Oscar nomination for best picture. She also played Eve Moneypenny in two James Bond movies. Currently, she is in negotiations to play the villainous half of the Carnage character in Venom 2.
Although she has worked with Tom Hardy in the past, Naomie Harris and Woody Harrelson have not been paired together before. They starred in After The Sunset, a film that investigated Pierce Brosnan’s supposed retirement as a suspected jewel thief.
In the first Venom, Woody Harrelson portrayed a serial killer named Cletus Kasady. His symbiote helped him achieve superhuman powers. However, the symbiote left Kasady with an unbalanced mind. This meant that Kasady was far more violent than Venom, and made him stronger.
Since then, Harris has been a staple of the James Bond franchise. Having been cast in two of the films, she has a unique perspective on what it takes to be Bond. As such, she is willing to help the next actor in the saga.
Naomie Harris has a wide variety of roles, from Pirates of the Caribbean to indie filmmaking. She has also won several awards for her acting. Recently, she has been nominated for the Best Supporting Actress Oscar. Besides her work in blockbusters, Harris has also been in films such as Miami Vice.
Morbius could cross over with Venom 2
Sony has recently announced a new Spider-Man movie called Morbius. The movie will feature Jared Leto as Dr Michael Morbius. He’s a moody scientist living in New York. He’s been infected with a form of vampirism. And he has rich sponsors to fund his research.
It’s a big deal. For one, Morbius is a character in Sony’s Shared Universe, a line of films that will also include Kraven the Hunter, Madame Web, and Venom.
What’s more, the film will also feature a cameo by Venom, who has been a part of Marvel Comics since 2009. But does Morbius really have the same universe as Venom?
In the Morbius trailer, Michael Keaton’s Vulture teases the audience with a surprise cameo. Though the Vulture has appeared in Spider-Man: Homecoming, Keaton’s role in the movie is limited to a few brief scenes.
So, how does the Morbius movie fare? While it’s not the best Marvel movie out there, it does have some interesting possibilities for Sony’s shared universe.
Although fans were skeptical of the Morbius movie’s big plot twist, the film was surprisingly effective. Several scenes showed how Morbius and Adrian Toomes ended up in the same world. As Toomes wisecracks about his arrival, the film hints at a possible future for the characters. This could include a super crime fighting duo combining the talents of Morbius and Venom.
However, it’s not as clear as it seems. It would have been interesting to see how Venom and Morbius might cross paths in the future.
Carnage is a red symbiote that blocks the venom injection
Carnage is a fictional supervillain and the incarnation of the symbiote Venom. He appeared in The Amazing Spider-Man, and later appeared in other Marvel comics.
As a symbiote, Carnage is a mutant whose body is filled with life energy and a web-like substance that can project from any part of his body. Its tentacles can be used as weapons and projectiles. However, Carnage is also vulnerable to fire, sonic weapons, and intense heat.
Although his name has changed over the years, Carnage’s origin is still widely accepted. In 1963, he was named Cletus Kasady. At the time, the symbiote was created to be darker than Venom.
The character has since gained a large fan base, making it one of the most successful villains in the Marvel Comics Universe. His first appearance was in issue #359 of The Amazing Spider-Man.
He has also appeared in major crossover events such as the Venomverse series and Ultimate Spider-Man vs. The Sinister Six. While his symbiote has never been permanently attached to any host, it has been bonded to Ben Reilly and the Silver Surfer.
During his early days, Carnage was considered a clone of Venom. Later, he became an independent symbiote. When the symbiote was separated from Eddie Brock, it retreated into a cell.
In the Venom series, Carnage has been a rival to the hero Spider-Man. While Venom’s relationship with his host, Eddie Brock, has been established, Carnage’s relationship with his primary host, Cletus Kasady, is less stable.
Post-credits scene
One of the most anticipated parts of Venom: Let There Be Carnage is the post-credits scene. As is common in Marvel movies, the credits aren’t quite complete without a few gimmicks. In the case of Venom, there is a big one.
The post-credits scene isn’t quite the biggest secret. It was revealed in a number of places online. So you can’t count on seeing it for the first time, but if you can, you will be rewarded.
While the post-credits scene isn’t exactly an Easter egg, there’s no doubt about the value. Not only does it showcase a little bit of cinematic magic, it also offers a brief explanation of one of the most important things about the symbiote: that it is in fact a symbiote.
There isn’t much to say here other than to recommend you see the film. But if you’re going to go to the trouble, it’s worth a shot.
On the whole, the post-credits scene is relatively short and does the requisite job of showcasing what you can expect from the upcoming Spider-Man: No Way Home. If you’re into Marvel movies, this is the film to see.
Even if you’re not into the Spider-Man franchise, it’s still a fun movie to watch. This is particularly true if you like the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
